Lifestyle Tree Care and Consultants
(est 1992) in New Zealand

Chris & Lance – coastal planting and dismantling of large Pines on the Coromandel Peninsula

In 1992, Chris O’Donoghue and Simon Miller, graduates of Merrist Wood College in Surrey, returned to New Zealand and started their small, Auckland based, arboricultural consultancy.

Chris and Simon were already specialists in big tree climbing and precision target pruning at a time when there were few qualified and experienced arborists in New Zealand. Lifestyle Tree Care was an approved contractor of choice for both Auckland and Waitakere City Councils.

Today, Lifestyle Tree Care and Consultants specialises in tree surgery for private homes, as well as arboricultural consultancy. Simon Miller is a consulting partner for arboricultural firm Peers Brown Miller Ltd, to which Lifestyle Tree Care regularly sub-contracts, and Lance Wharton has joined the team.

Lifestyle Tree Care projects have ranged from coastal planting and dismantling of large pines on the Coromandel Peninsula, to fruit tree maintenance in central Auckland gardens. Our objective is to always achieve a high standard of work with an excellent finish, including the all-important clean-up.

Over the years, Lifestyle Tree Care has been privileged to work in Auckland’s most amazing gardens, and on some of the city’s most notable trees. Chris, Simon and Lance, are proud of the many friendly and healthy relationships we have grown with clients, their families, and their gardens.
